Rare Bird Liz Welch is the most amazingly creative person I know. She works with Friendly Plastic, and is a true master of this material, writing books, making DVD's and teaching workshops to pass on her vast knowledge.

Ruddington Framework Knitters' Museum A local independent museum, it's collections and displays illustrate the story of framework knitting, from its inception to obsolescence, and its demonstrators help keep the craft alive today. Well worth a visit.
Metropolitan Set in rural Cheshire, Metropolitan has everything for the machine knitter. They stock all makes of machines, accessories, spares, patterns and yarns.
